Brandy performed to an empty room on Saturday.
The 34-year- old singer was set to be the surprise grand finale act for
Mandela Sports and Culture Day in Soweto, South Africa last weekend,
however, concertgoers left the stadium, which holds 90,000, ahead of
Brandy taking the stage.
"There were no more than 40 people present," according to Guardian newspaper.
Brandy reportedly sang for 'maybe a 40 people audience' in a stadium that holds 90,000.
"Brandy performed to an empty stadium. With the stadium lights on," South African musician Kabomo tweeted.
“People didn't know there was a concert after the games. No one knew
Brandy was around. Maybe a 40 people audience ... she sulked after two
songs and walked off," he added in response to a Twitter user.

Although tens of thousands reportedly filled the stadium earlier in the
day for football and rugby matches, the crowd began to slowly leave
their seats once the music portion of the day began.
The other entertainers were David Jenkins, Elvis Blue, Salif Keita and D'Banj.
They all performed their sets before the R&B singer, leaving very few spectators for Brandy.
"Brandy was not going to South Africa to headline a show, she was there
for a cause and was only scheduled to sing two songs as there were
other performers ahead of her," a rep for Brandy tells the Daily
News. "She did not storm off stage."
"Brandy was asked to come at the last minute to support the Nelson
Mandela cause and that was the reason she went, she would go again to
support the same cause regardless of how many people were in the
audience," the rep added.
