Policeman mistakenly kills Woman in Kaduna

According to reports gathered, a police officer in Kaduna has shot dead a middle aged woman, while trying to disperse some youths in Kafanchan who came to disrupt a court proceeding.

According to the Kaduna state police commissioner, Olufemi Adenaike who confirmed the incident to a source, the killing of the woman was not intentional as the Policemen had gone to a court sitting in the area to disperse some youth who came to disrupt a court proceeding and in the process, a bullet from one of the policemen hit the woman which led to her death.
The commissioner stated further that the police had gone to the court on the request of the presiding judge.
Policeman who shot the woman has been arrested while normalcy has returned to the area.
